dc.description.abstract	The honorable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee hosted a one day conference with the Chairmen, Board of Governors and Directors of the Indian Institutes of Technology at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on August 22, 2014. The Prime Minister and the Union Minister of Human Resource Development also addressed the gathering. Prof T.A. Gonsalves, Director of IIT Mandi, highlighted the strategy adopted by IIT Mandi on its path to prominence as a research university.
